Welcome! My name is Drake and I am a Reno, NV based photographer and PhD student.
Both photography and science give me different perspectives to understand and appreciate the natural world around me.
I've lived a lot of places, including a year on the road, and am happy to call Reno and the Eastern Sierra home. I am currently a PhD student in the Ice Core Lab at the Desert Research Institute, where I use chemistry stuck in glacial ice to understand aspects of past climate. If you'd like to learn more, head over to the Science tab.
My current home is also ideal for adventure. I love nothing more than waking up on a crisp morning in the mountains and searching for the best sunrise. Fires with friends, golden hour portrait shoots, and chilly nights under the stars. Head over to the photography tab to see some of my portfolio.
I also play banjo. Hit the YouTube link to find some videos.

Thanks for visiting! Don't hesitate to reach out about portrait shoots or outdoor photo needs.
